Monument to Mantashev to be erected in Tbilisi
A monument to Alexander Mantashev - a prominent Armenian oil magnate, industrialist, financier, and a philanthropist - will be erected in the church yard of St. Echmiadzin Church in Tbilisi in 2011. Besides, books will be published in three languages (Armenian, Georgian and Russian) and a scientific conference dedicated to the great philanthropist will be held this year.
The information was provided by Levon Chidilyan, Head of the Cultural Division of "Hayartun" Center.
At the initiative of "Hayartun" Center and Armenian Embassy in Georgia a prayer was served Sunday in St. Echmiadzin Church on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the great philanthropist.
