Does USA punish Armenia?
The malfunctioning in Armenian government did not escape the attention of the USA.
U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Marie Yovanovitch said on Friday that that U.S. Government's Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) will no longer fund projects in Armenia due to inefficient financial management.
"The funding will continue as soon as the Armenian authorities remedy the shortcomings," said the U.S. Ambassador.
"The authorities should step up action to improve the country's' indexes and make them complaint with our requirements," said Yovanovitch singling out the freedom of press and conduct of elections and rallies as top priorities for Armenian leadership.
