IMF mission met with PM
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today received representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Armenia Mission led by the mission's senior economist Veronica Bakalu. Attending the meeting was IMF Permanent Representative to Armenia Guillermo Tolosa.
During the meeting, the sides gave a positive assessment of Armenia's cooperation with the IMF.
The interlocutors discussed the process of the "Quarterly program for extension of funds and extension of credit" signed by the IMF and the RA Government. The sides also touched upon the main directions of Armenia's economic policy, particularly the tax, budgetary and loan policy, taxing administration, inflation, as well as the prospects for economic development.
The IMF representatives reaffirmed the organization's willingness to assist in the implementation of the Armenian government's programs to the best of its ability.
