Iraq expects energy from Armenia
Armenian Ambassador to Iraq Murad Muradyan had a meeting with economic sphere correspondent, Iraqi Prime Minister Saleh Al Mutlakkhi.
During the meeting, the sides discussed possible spheres of for bilateral economic cooperation. The Iraqi Prime Minister was particularly interested in the possible export of energy from Armenia to Iraq. The sides discussed possible routes for importing energy and expressed hope that the issue would be solved.
The sides also talked about Armenia's possible participation in the reconstruction of Iraq, particularly in the sphere of apartment construction.
Ambassador Muradyan informed Saleh Al Mutlakkhi that Armenia would present Iraq with two agreements on economic cooperation and the protection of investments.
At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed Armenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan's invitation to visit Armenia. Saleh Al Mutlakkhi accepted the invitation with pleasure and mentioned that he would be visiting Armenia with the accompaniment of high-ranking officials and Iraqi businessmen.
