An Armenian was also injured
The Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus views the April 11 explosion at the Minsk metro as a terrorist attack.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, the force of the explosive device was equivalent to 5-7 kg of trotilin. The bomb was found under the seat at the platform of the second wagon and the explosion left an 80 cm hole.
There were nearly 300 people at the scene of the explosion. According to the latest data, 12 people died and there are a total of 134 injured.
RA citizen Samvel Sahakyan was also injured, as RA Foreign Ministry press secretary Tigran Balayan told "A1+".
"The injured is at the laryngological department of the hospital. He has hearing problems, but his life is not in danger," said Tigran Balayan.
Let us remind that the explosion took place at 17:58 local time at the "Oktyabrskaya" station of the Minsk metro. The explosion was so powerful that it caused a hole in the platform's concrete floor. The wave of the explosion destroyed the ceiling and the walls near the escalator.
The "Oktyabrskaya" station is near the presidential residence. April 13 has been declared as a day of mourning in Minsk in relation to the tragic event.
