Serzh Sargsyan meets ADB Vice President
On April 11, Serzh Sargsyan received Xiaoyu Zhao, Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Sargsyan highly appreciated the ADB's activity in Armenia and in the Asian region. He also expressed gratitude for the assistance rendered to Armenia to mitigate the consequences of the global financial-economic crisis.
Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that the cooperation with the Asian Development Bank is targeted at ensuring a stable economic growth in Armenia and attached special importance to the implementation of key projects, such as the construction of the North-South Corridor and "Armenia: Stable Urban Development" investment program.
The interlocutors also touched upon ADB's possible assistance to the construction of the North-South railway and development of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as creation of infrastructures to promote export of agricultural goods.
