Azerbaijan violated truce 2,300 times in three months
Instances of ceasefire violation increased along the line of contact of the NKR and Azerbaijani armed forces during the previous week, the press service of the NKR Defense Ministry reported.
From April 4 to 9, Azerbaijan violated ceasefire for 260 times, firing at all NKR positions from various caliber weapons.
"It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan violates armistice on the threshold of another regional visit of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs," the NKR Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"During the first trimester of 2011, Azerbaijan violated ceasefire for 2,300 times, firing 13,000 shots at NKR positions.
Despite Azerbaijan's provocative actions, the NKR Defense Army continues providing security at all positions," reads the Ministry statement.
