Residents of Shirak Marz (a province in the north-west of Armenia) are unable to get to Yerevan today due to absence of transport.

"The local police have intimidated minibus drivers and instructed them not to work on April 8. Drivers who dared to disobey the order were stopped en route and taken to the impound lot of traffic police," Ashot Zakaryan, head of the Gyumri-based HAK office told A1+.

There have been reports today that public transport leading to Yerevan has been halted on Friday ahead of the HAK rally set to begin near the Matenadaran at 6pm April 8.
