Armenians and Turks to gather in Paris on April 10
On April 10, Armenians and Turks living in France will gather near the Monument to Komitas in Paris to show their allegiance to the principle of mutual respect and understanding, Nouvelles d`Arménie reported.
The campaign is initiated by the organization Biz-Miyassine (We Together) led by Michel Atalay and Denis Donikian.
It is important that many Armenians and Turks gather near Komitas Monument which symbolizes the Armenian Genocide of 1915. With their presence they will show that one cannot create a viable future if it is not based on historical truth and transparent human relations. Armenians cannot close their doors before goodwilled Turks and Turks cannot turn a blind eye to the pain of the Armenian people," the initiative said in a statement.
