Political consultations
On April 7, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Estonia held consultations at the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among participants were Head of the Department of Europe at the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs Armen Liloyan, Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Sander Suni and Estonia's Ambassador to Armenia Tomas Luk (seat in Tbilisi).
The strengthening of political dialogue and trade-economic ties between Armenia and Estonia, as well as issues related to cooperation within international organizations were discussed. Armenia's approaches on regional issues were presented upon the Estonian side's request.
Views were exchanged on the process and perspectives of the Armenia-EU partnership and the special focus was on the issue of facilitating the entrance to EU countries for Armenian citizens.
The Estonian diplomats were received by RA Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Ghazinyan. The Armenian-Estonian relations and the process of negotiations on the association agreement with the EU were touched upon and importance was attached to the need for facilitating the visa regime with the EU and receiving support from Estonia, as reported by the press service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
