WOMEN IN ARMENIA
-Women and ladies make up over half of Armenia's population, that is, nearly 51.4 percent (nearly 1.67 million).
-There are nearly 1.32 million women and ladies at the reproductive age (15 and above).
-Women live an average of 6 years more (77) than men (71) in Armenia.
-There are 1.3 times more women with vocational, graduate and post-graduate education than men.
-Armenia has 8 female MPs, 2 women ministers and 6 women deputy ministers, a woman deputy governor, a woman deputy mayor, 24 women community leaders and 50 women deputy heads.
-One out of every 6 women at a reproductive age suffers from infertility (16.8%, almost 220,000 women), which exceeds the 15% crisis indicator set by the World Health Organization.
-Every year, nearly 385 women are diagnosed with vaginal cancer and over 200 women die from that disease in Armenia every year.
-Almost half of Armenians capable to work are unemployed and women make up almost two-thirds.
-One out of every three women is in poverty in Armenia.
