Soldiers must return home
The RA Ministry of Defense held a solemn event dedicated to Motherhood and Beauty Day today. According to the ministry's press release, among participants were the mothers and widows of RA National Heroes, mothers of three children serving together in the armed forces, as well as women soldiers and freedom fighters.
Among speakers were women soldiers, freedom fighters and mothers of soldiers.
In his speech, RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan addressed the mothers of soldiers and said: "Every mother waits with worry a patience for the return of her son. Every fire opened on the border in a war that stopped, but isn't over resonates in a mother's soul first. Alongside worrying, take pride in your sons because they are the ones defending our borders."
Addressing the mothers and widows of deceased freedom fighters, the minister said: "Among today's officers and soldiers are sons of deceased freedom fighters. They are following in their fathers' footsteps by making our army stronger. Thank you for raising and educating men who are replacing their fathers."
The RA Minister of Defense granted medals, diplomas and gifts to the relatives of RA and NKR National Heroes, the wives of deceased freedom fighters, as well as a number of women freedom fighters and soldiers.
