The U.S. State Department issued a warning message in which it called its citizens to avoid travelling to Syria due to the "potential for political and civil unrest" in the country.

The USA also allowed its diplomats and representatives in Syria to leave the country with their families, Agence France-Presse reported.

The State Department called on its citizens to analyze the situation and leave Syria for their personal security.

The statement reads that the Syrian authorities are ill-disposed to foreigners residing in the country and may arrest them on conspiracy charges.

Participants of anti-government protests in Syria demand that President Bashar al-Assad make economic and political reforms in the country.

President Bashar al-Assad dissolved his cabinet on March 29. Yesterday evening Bashar al-Assad appointed Adel Safar, a former agriculture minister, as prime minister and instructed him to form the government.
