Recalled the Protocols
NA Chairman Hovik Abrahamyan considered the development of relations with Switzerland important.
During the meeting with President of the Swiss Confederation Micheline Calmy-Rey, Abrahamyan expressed high appreciation of Switzerland's efforts aimed at normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations. Micheline Calmy-Rey mentioned that Switzerland is grateful to Armenia for confiding in Switzerland as an arbiter in the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations.
Calmy-Rey said the Armenian authorities showed political courage by undertaking the initiative and signing the Protocols aimed at normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations. She also noted that Switzerland attaches great importance to the region and is an arbiter for various countries.
