Alabina is in Yerevan
After 13 years, world-famous singer of Israeli origin Alabina is in Armenia for her second concert and hopes that she will feel the same warmth she felt during her first concert in Yerevan.
The singer is familiar with Armenian music, especially the songs by Charles Aznavour and believes that Armenian music is very lyrical.
"I listened to Armenian music on the radio when I was here for the first time and I was impressed. Armenian music includes Persian modulations and the sounds of Arabic music are always heard in Armenian music," says Alabina.
The singer will perform old, favorite songs, as well as new songs and will be joined by well-known rapper Jean-Michael Sissoko. Alabina personally offered the rapper to sing together and Sissoko is happy for the collaboration.
"After my first recording with Alabina, I realized that I could collaborate with her and have the opportunity to travel to countries like Armenia," said the rapper.
In 2007, Alabina gave birth to twins and stopped singing for a year. She has been working on her two albums for the past four years. Alabina says her son and daughter are very musical and she wouldn't be against their choice to become singers.
The concert will take place tomorrow at the Karen Demirchyan Sport-Concert Complex. Until then, the singer plans on spending her free time visiting historical-cultural sites in Armenia.
The concert is organized by Nur Productions.
