Sargsyan, Ahmadinejad discuss construction of Iran-Armenia railway
Serzh Sargsyan arrived in Tehran on Sunday at the invitation of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
During a meeting with Mr. Ahmadinejad, Serzh Sargsyan congratulated him and the entire Iranian people on their national holiday - Nowruz (Iranian New Year).
The two men discussed development of bilateral relations, attaching importance to cooperation in tourism, transport and energy sectors. They also dwelt on the construction of Iran-Armenia railroad and a number of other issues of mutual interest.
After the meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Serzh Sargsyan attended Nowruz celebrations with the leaders of other countries. During the ceremony Sargsyan delivered a congratulatory address, the RA President's press office reported.
