National Assembly deputies headed by NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan today visited Heritage Party Leader Raffi Hovannisian who has been staging a hunger strike in a key Yerevan square for 11 days.

Among those who visited Hovannisian were Prosperous Armenia (BHK) MP Naira Zohrabyan, Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) MP Vahan Hovhannesyan and Vice-Speaker of the Republican Party (HHK) Galust Sahakyan.

BHK members were first to visit Liberty Square to convey BHK Leader Gagik Tsarukyan's appeal to the Heritage Party Leader. ARFD faction leader Vahan Hovhannisyan was surprised to see numerous cameramen on the site.
"They are waiting for Hovik Abrahamyan," Raffi Hovannisian explained to his colleague.

Hovik Abrahamyan was escorted by HHK and OYK deputies.
He urged the Heritage leader to end his hunger strike and return to his routine life.
"Your absence is greatly felt in the parliament," said Abrahamyan.

"We are not our enemies. We always discuss proposals to find the correct solution," said the NA Speaker.

People gathered at the square did not let Hovik Abrahamyan leave the grounds. They hurried to express their discontent with the authorities.

After Abrahamyan's departure, Raffi Hovannisian said he would take into consideration all proposals made by his colleagues.
