While citizens were pitching a tent at Freedom Square, nearly 20 ANC supporters were gathered near Saryan statue to greet former political prisoner Harutyun Urutyan. Urutyan was released a week ago and was greeted today with rounds of applause.

"The greatest danger for the movement was that the political prisoners might not have resisted the conditions. I would like to state that Harut is a torchbearer of our struggle and is currently in liberty after resisting all kinds of hardships," said ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan.

Chairman of the Board of the Armenian Pan-National Movement Aram Manukyan mentioned that each citizen should take pride in having such men who are daring to move forward for the sake of justice and their people.

Harutyun Urutyan expressed gratitude and called on everyone to continue the struggle for victory.
