Sargsyan’s pledge
Serzh Sargsyan today paid a working visit to Shirak province. The head of state visited the newly built "Mush-2" village in Gyumri city, got acquainted with the construction and the building conditions.
During a tour in the newly built district, Serzh Sargsyan was introduced to the program for construction of apartments for families of Shirak and Lori provinces that remained homeless after the earthquake, as well as the process of settling people in the condominiums in "Mush-2" district.
It was also mentioned that by the government's decision, the Ministry of Defense has provided 8 apartments for families of soldiers that are registered as homeless in Shirak province.
Serzh Sargsyan left Gyumri for the Bandivan community in Amasia region and visited the native home of contractual soldier, senior lieutenant Hovhannes Sukiasyan who was injured and died from a shot from the opponent on 20 January 2011 in a combat supporting point. He expressed condolences to the family members, expressed gratitude for raising a boy like Hovhannes and apologized for not being able to save him.
"As President, I can promise you that I will do everything possible for the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. That will be the best tribute to all the victims. They were able to defend our Homeland by sacrificing their lives and we will be able to sign a dignified peace deal," said Serzh Sargsyan.
In Amasia, the President visited "Bandivan Milk" LTD located in Bandivan community and got acquainted with the company's activities.
The President was also introduced to the important problems facing the community related to gasification and the acquisition of technical equipment. The owner of "Bandivan Milk" LTD promised to solve the gasification issue, taking into account that the gas price will reduce starting April 1. Serzh Sargsyan discussed issues related to rural development and pledged that he would support the acquisition of necessary technical equipment.
