Tenth day of hunger strike

Today at 18:00 a group of activists is preparing to pitch a tent in Freedom Square for leader of "Heritage" party Raffi Hovhannisian.

Yesterday the activists presented Serzh Sargsyan with a public requisition for "ensuring the fulfillment of the government's obligation to pitch a tent for a citizen on a hunger strike."

Raffi Hovhannisian has already spent his tenth night under an umbrella because police officers are prohibiting him from pitching a tent in Freedom Square.

"Heritage" MPs pay visits from time to time. MP Anahit Bakhshyan visited Hovhannisian in the morning and said the party's struggle is for getting the country out of this state of emergency.

MP Bakhshyan says the wings of government are separate and all public spheres are controlled by one point, that is, the presidential residence and this has led to the chain of injustice that is spreading toward the social and political spheres.

Although doctors visit Raffi Hovhannisian four times a day, he is in normal condition.

Over 4,000 people have already expressed their support to Raffi Hovhannisian by giving their consent to the demands.
