If necessary, Armenia ready to assist Libya
Armenia is attentively following the events taking place in the Middle East and North Africa, said Tigran Balayan, a spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
"That region is geographically close to Armenia, there are sizeable Armenian communities in those countries, and Armenian people have traditional friendly links with the peoples of that region," said Balayan.
"We are for the resolution of all issues through negotiations, dialogue and national solidarity.
Taking into consideration the developments in Libya, we are ready, in case of necessity, to provide humanitarian assistance to the population of that country," said the MFA Spokesman.
