The Armenian National Assembly cannot stay indifferent to the actions of Heritage Party Leader Raffi Hovannisian, according freelance deputy Victor Dallakyan.

"The National Assembly has no right to turn a blind eye to Hovannisian's hunger-strike," Dallakyan said during the NA sitting on Monday.

He suggested his fellow colleagues to meet at 1:30pm to decide their further steps. According to Dallakyan, the Armenian parliamentarians should either suggest the Heritage leader to stop the strike or visit him at Liberty Square.

NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan approved Dallakyan's suggestion saying he had met Heritage faction leader Stepan Safaryan and inquired about the reasons behind the strike. So far, the party has not presented the reasons.

Heritage MPs will not attend the National Assembly's session on Monday.

Heritage leader Raffi Hovannisian declared an open-end hunger strike last Tuesday. Though Hovannisian has not voiced any demand or request, the party expects Serzh Sargsyan to hold early presidential and parliamentary election.
