Audronius Ažubalis to meet with Levon Ter-Petrosyan
The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis is scheduled to meet in Yerevan with Serzh Sargsyan, Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, representatives of political parties and Armenia's First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan.
During his meetings, Ažubalis will present the priorities of the Lithuanian chairmanship in 2011, including the settlement of protracted conflicts, promotion of freedom of expression and issues related to energy security and regional cooperation.
Border management and combat against transnational threats will be in the focus of Lithuania.
Ažubalis will also discuss the process following the adoption of the Astana Declaration reached between heads of states and governments. Under the Declaration, OSCE member states reaffirmed their commitment to all aspects of security.
