On March 18, President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan met in Yerevan with the OSCE chairman-in-office, foreign minister of Lithuania Audronius Ažubalis to discuss Karabakh peace process and regional issues.

President Sahakyan presented the position of the official Stepanakert, underlining that the Azerbaijan-Karabakh relations should be settled by peaceful means and through a direct dialogue.

In this context, Bako Sahakyan emphasized the necessity of restoring the full-fledged negotiation format with the direct participation of Artsakh considering it among the pivotal components of the conflict settlement process.

President Sahakyan also noted that the OSCE should pay more serious attention to destructive and anti-Armenian policy of Azerbaijan, which to a great extent hinders both the conflict settlement and the formation of mutual trust atmosphere in the region.

The sides noted that the Minsk Group was the most efficient platform for the conflict settlement and any attempts to transfer it into other instances would only harm the process.
