Serzh Sargsyan: "Accusation is sheer slander"
Serzh Sargsyan received Wednesday the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Bernard Fassier (France), Robert Bradtke (U.S.) and Igor Popov (Russia), and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The Armenian President reiterated the willingness of the Armenian side to continue the negotiations on the basis of agreements reached during the tripartite meeting in Sochi. Serzh Sargsyan noted that the Armenia has been taking consistent steps to inform the society about the agreements reached in Sochi and create an atmosphere of mutual trust.
Sargsyan also referred to Azerbaijan's continuing provocations and non-constructive statements after the Sochi meeting, the killing of an Armenian soldier, and the allegations on the killing of a 9-year-old Azerbaijani boy by an Armenian sniper.
Serzh Sargsyan noted that the accusation is sheer slander, since actions against civilians, especially children, do not comply with moral standards of an Armenian soldier. According to the Armenian President, the incident was also impossible to occur in the mentioned area from technical viewpoint.
The interlocutors also discussed the further steps to be taken in the process of Karabakh conflict setlement.
