OSCE MG presents results of Baku meetings to Armenian FM

On March 16, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs - Robert Bradtke (U.S.), Bernard Fassier (France) and Igor Popov (Russia) and Personal Representative of the Chairman-in-Office Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.

The interlocutors discussed the results of the tripartite meeting of Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian Presidents held in Sochi on March 5.

Edward Nalbandian expressed hope that some progress will be achieved in the negotiations process based on the agreements reached between the Presidents.

The Minister drew the Co-Chairs' attention to the constant provocations and ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani side in the line of contact noting that they hey hinder to create a favorable atmosphere in the negotiation process. According to the Armenian top official, the peace process will advance if Azerbaijan agrees to the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs' proposal to withdraw snipers from the frontline and strengthen the ceasefire regime.

The mediators presented the Armenian FM the results of their Baku meetings.
