Judge of the Kentron and Nork-Marash districts' general jurisdiction court Mnatsakan Martirosyan chose a two-month arrest as a precautionary measure for Armenian National Congress activist, two-time European champion and multiple USSR champion Samson Khachatryan.

As Khachatryan's lawyer Ara Zakaryan told "A1+", the investigator had petitioned to apply arrest because he feared that Khachatryan could impede the investigation and commit a new crime.

Samson Khachatryan is suspected under the attributes of Part 1, Article 316 of the RA Criminal Code (use of force that is not dangerous to an authority's figure's life or health).
