"Tigran Postanjyan is a victim of revenge"
With calls and signs reading "Freedom to Tigran", "No to Political Hostages", "No to Stalin Laws" and "1937 will not be repeated", NA "Heritage" faction MP Zaruhi Postanjyan and her family members started the protest in front of the Court of Appeals while the court was holding a closed door session on Tigran Postanjyan's case. The case was against the decision on his imprisonment.
Other citizens, who were informed about the protest through social networks, also joined the family members in Tigran's defense.
In her speech, Zaruhi Postanjyan mentioned that she has been a lawyer for 10 years and knows the judges of the Court of Appeals rather well. She also mentioned that they will be brought to justice for their illegal actions.
"Perhaps announcing a verdict prescribed by the law will be a good start for the judges," said Zaruhi Postanjyan and mentioned that the outcome depends on their active efforts.
"Heritage" faction MPs Stepan Safaryan and Armen Martirosyan joined them a little later. In his speech, Stepan Safaryan called on the judges to come to their senses and announce a fair verdict.
Let us mention that Tigran Postanjyan was arrested for illegal payment on February 23. The preliminary investigation is over and the case is currently being introduced. Tigran Postanjyan is not allowed to see his family members.
