Armenian FM receives Swiss ambassador
On March 11, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the newly appointed ambassador of Switzerland, Konstantin Obolensky, who handed over the copies of his credentials to Armenia's top diplomat.
Minister Nalbandian praised the high-level relations between Armenia and Switzerland underlining geographical and historical similarities between the two countries.
"Today we can praise the high-level relations and close political dialogue between the two countries. The opening of the Swiss embassy in Armenia will open new opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation," said Edwrad Nalbandian.
The Swiss diplomat thanked the Armenian FM for the warm reception and promised to further strengthen bilateral ties.
The parties discussed issues related to Swiss President's upcoming visit to Yerevan. They also exchanged views on a number of regional issues, RA MFA press service reported.
