Sargsyan returned to Yerevan

Serzh Sargsyan today had a working breakfast with Prime Minister of Latvia Valdis Dobrovsky as part of the official visit to the Republic of Latvia.

President Sargsyan and Prime Minister Dobrovsky discussed the opportunities for the development of economic ties, underlining that there is adequate potential and the prerequisites that need to be fully used. Cooperation in tourism, metallurgy and other spheres was considered as a perspective. The interlocutors attached importance to the need for creating an Armenian-Latvian inter-governmental commission as well.

Sargsyan and Dobrovsky also spoke about the strengthening of frequent mutual visits at different levels, active contacts and the relations between the businessmen of both countries and in that context, they attached importance to the regular Yerevan-Riga flights.

Serzh Sargsyan today visited the Armenian Church in Riga where he had a meeting with the Armenian community.

During the meeting, President Serzh Sargsyan mentioned: "I convey the Armenian people's greetings and wishes and reaffirm that regardless of where Armenians may be, we are one nation and our strength lies in our unity."

According to Sargsyan, the stronger the Diaspora is, the stronger Armenia will be and vice-versa.

Serzh Sargsyan also touched upon regional issues, particularly the current stage of the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

President Serzh Sargsyan ended his two-day official visit to the Republic of Latvia and returned to Yerevan today.
