To regulate the process of providing financial assistance to companies using water through grants from 2012 to 2016, the government has confirmed the amounts of state financial assistance, the order of specifying the amount of assistance, the maximum levels of water loss for irrigation and the minimum amounts of water for irrigating lands.

By the confirmed order, it is envisaged specifying the amounts of financial assistance in the case of change of a level that is higher than 10 percent of the annual average inflation indicator, as well as a change in irrigation water and energy prices.

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan added that irrigation water prices will remain unchanged and will instill trust in the initiatives of those using water. The government spends 4 billion drams a year to subsidize the irrigation system expense.
