Nalbandyan presented the latest developments

RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan met with his Latvian counterpart Girts Valdis Kristovkis as part of the delegation accompanying President Serzh Sargsyan on an official visit to Latvia.

Nalbandyan mentioned that the agreements reached between the presidents of both countries are important for bilateral relations and proof of that is the bilateral willingness for further deepening and strengthening of comprehensive cooperation between Armenia and Latvia.

During the meeting, the Armenian and Latvian foreign ministers discussed in detail a broad range of issues related to further development of Armenian-Latvian relations, particularly cooperation within international organizations, consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs, as well as the steps to be taken to reinforce economic cooperation and cultural exchange.

Edward Nalbandyan and Girts Valdis Kirstovkis touched upon Armenia-European Union relations and discussed the opportunities for bilateral cooperation within the framework of the European Neighborhood Policy and the Eastern Partnership Plan.

Upon the Latvian foreign minister's request, Nalbandyan presented the latest developments of the process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution.
