Armenia is committed to peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict
On March 9, Serzh Sargsyan left for Latvia where he had a meeting with his Latvian counterpart Valdis Zatlers. The meeting was followed by a joint press conference of Armenian and Latvian Presidents.
"We are committed to peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict within OSCE Minsk Group," Serzh Sargsyan said during the joint press conference.
The two men highlighted the active political dialogue between the two countries and deepening ties in the spheres of culture and education.
They emphasized the need to open embassies in both countries and to set up an Armenian-Latvian interstate commission.
