Sahakyan has no expectations
Head of the NA Republican faction Galust Sahakyan has no expectations from the meeting of the Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents in Sochi on March 5. During today's press conference, Galust Sahakyan mentioned that after the trilateral meeting, Ilham Aliyev will continue to make belligerent declarations and will try to make the processes go slower.
"That is why the Armenian side is calling on the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to sign a document on no use of force or, better yet, sanctions for using force. Only in that case will the Aliyev clan sit down at the negotiations table," said Sahakyan.
The Republican Party will not fulfill the HAK's demands
Head of the Republican faction today stated that the party is not preparing to fulfill the 15 points stated in Levon Ter-Petrosyan's declaration.
"We are simply doing what we are openly talking about," said Sahakyan.
The only thing that Sahakyan welcomed in Levon Ter-Petrosyan's declaration was the demand for compensating the families of the victims and the injured of March 1.
Surprised
Galust Sahakyan is still unaware of police officers' use of force against MPs near the government building today.
When one of the journalists clarified that the police had also thrown the MPs to the ground, Sahakyan was surprised and responded that he didn't know who the real culprit was. Sahakyan also said he didn't understand why "Heritage" is boycotting the NA sessions.
