Russian-based Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan, earned 410million dollar rent from his properties in 2010, according to the Russian Forbes magazine.

Karapetyan comes 3rd in the list of 30 richest owners of real estate properties in Russia published byForbes. The list includes either physical persons or groups of physical persons that have huge commercial property

Samvel Karapetyan is the brother of the president's staff administration head Karen Karapetyan.

Forbes states that Samvel Karapetyan ranks among the few Russian businessmen who were able to surmount the global economic crisis with minimum losses.

"During the crisis, Karapetyan enlarged his business by buying companies with bad financial situation or in bankruptcy. Karapetyan's investments in these projects exceeded 2 billion dollars," writes Forbes.

Tashir group has implemented numerous projects in the spheres of energy, retail trade and food. The Company's incomes totaled 1 billion 700 million dollars, according to the magazine.

Only two businessmen have earned more money during the crisis period, and these people are Azeri Aras Aghalarov (550 million dollars), a relative Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who represents the Krokus group, and Zarakh Iliyev and God Nisanov (520 million dollars), who represent Kievskaya Ploshad group.

"Aghalarov was the only Russian businessmen who made huge investments in the construction of the Moscow underground," writes Forbes.
Aghalarov's son is married to Aliyev's daughter.

The Tashir group first appeared in the list of the largest property owners in Forbes in 2006.
