President of Armenia and Russia, Serzh Sargsyan and Dmitry Medvedev have met in Saint Petersburg to discuss bilateral relations and current international issues.

The journalists covering the meeting noticed an interesting detail. The presidents had mixed up their seats: Dmitry Medvedev was sitting at the Armenian national flag, while Serzh Sargsyan at the Russian flag.

In response to reporters' observations, Dmitry Medvedev hurried to say: "It demonstrates the strategic nature of our relations."

Serzh Sargsyan is in Russia on a working visit.
The Presidents of Armenia and Russia are scheduled to discuss the strengthening of bilateral trade, economic, investment, fuel and energy cooperation, as well as security and stability in the South Caucasus.
