Armenian director’s film wins Nika award
"Border," a film by Armenian director Harutyun Khachatryan, won the "Best film of CIS countries and Baltic" - a national prize of the Russian Academy of Film Arts Nika.
The movie from Kirgizia "The holder of the light", Latvian "The family affairs" and Azerbaijani "Through the eyes of a ghost" were the rivals of the film.
The prize-giving ceremony will take place in Moscow on April 7. President of Russian Academy of Film Arts Aleksey Batalov has personally invited Harutyun Khachatryan to participate in the ceremony.
Since its premiere at the Film Festival in Rotterdam in 2009, "Border" has been shown in more than 45 international film festivals and won numerous prizes.
