Bid farewell to NA Chairman as well
On February 24, Chairman of the RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan received EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby on the occasion of the end of his term.
Expressing high appreciation of Mr. Semneby's efforts, which have greatly contributed to the development and deepening of Armenia-EU relations, the NA Chairman mentioned that Armenia has always attached importance to the partnership with the European Union and the political dialogue between Armenia and the EU is now at a new qualitative level through the launch of Eastern Partnership Program.
Expressing gratitude for the reception and presenting the results of his five-year activity, Peter Semneby considered the rise of awareness about Armenia within the European Union and the launch of the talks on the Association Agreement as important achievements.
During the meeting, the sides also touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution, Armenian-Turkish relations and other issues of bilateral interest, as reported by the department of information and public relations of the RA National Assembly.
