Nobody in charge of the water?
The drinking water tube for building #6 in the Dzork district of Kapan has been out of order for the past 7 months. The water is flowing for no reason and filling the basements of the building.
The residents have appealed to the condominium association and the "ArmWaterSewerage" company's Kapan branch several times, but nobody has responded and the issue remains unsolved.
"The water supply company representatives told us that they are not responsible for the building, but I told them to at least be in charge of the water. The joint partnership representatives say the residents should fix the tube by themselves."
The residents say they don't have enough money to change the tubes or at least renovate them and the created situation is gradually destroying the building's groundwork.
Head of the "ArmWaterSewerage" Kapan branch Hovhannes Gevorgyan says the tube entering the building is not considered their property.
According to him, the company realizes that it is losing a considerable amount of water due to the accident, but it is currently not turning the water off for the whole buidling.
According to head of the condominium association Amas Karapetyan, the tubes have been out of order and they have welded them. However, they have to change all of the tubes.
Karapetyan says the residents have to collect money and solve the issue. But the residents don't have the money and the water keeps flowing.
