"I will affiliate myself with the coalition, should the government carry out reforms in the country," head of the Armenian delegation to Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, head of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary group Vahan Hovhannisyan told reporters on February 23.

"There is little chance that Armenia will be able to implement the reforms envisaged by the Euronest," Hovhannisyan said commenting on Armenia's membership to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.

"The Coalition forces in Armenia failed to keep their pre-election pledges. Moreover, they decided to unite and "maintain their power." This is a real disaster. The change of power becomes urgent in the country, given the authorities' reluctance to change their political course," Vahan Hovhannisyan told A1+.

"People should understand that there is a direct connection between the government and elections. They think that elections provide an opportunity to earn AMD 5000 -20 000, depending on generosity of the candidate. They do not believe that they can topple down the authorities through elections."
To get out of the situation Hovhannisyan suggests three options.

"We can let nature take its course, try to get rid of these authorities at any cost or change the power through elections."

In reply to A1+ that the opposition has been attempting to change power for the past ten years, Vahan Hovhannisyan said, "There are two approaches - we can either sow enmity and revenge that will lead to new conflicts or obtain justice that will bring harmony."
