Homeland Defender Day in Russia
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today participated in the solemn reception organized by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Armenia on the occasion of Homeland Defender Day, which is a state holiday in Russian Federation.
The head of government congratulated everyone on the occasion and said in particular: "The unique spirit of confidence and mutual assistance can be seen in all pages of our history. The federal cooperation between Armenia and Russia completely fall in line with the vital interests of our nations, as well as contribute to further development of our countries and the strengthening of security and stability in the region."
On February 23 at 11 a.m. a solemn event dedicated to Homeland Defender Day will take place near the complex memorial in memory of the Unknown Soldier at Victory Park in Yerevan. Among participants will be RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, soldiers of the Armenian and Russian Armed Forces, veterans and representatives of diplomatic missions.
