“Heritage” warns
This morning, the National Security Service called "Heritage" parliamentary faction MP Zaruhi Postanjyan's brother Tigran Postanjyan to an interrogation.
However, the interrogation was postponed since Tigran Postanjyan's attorney Hayk Alumyan didn't show up to the NSS. The "Heritage" Party's news service issued a statement a short while ago:
"With this phony and shameful criminal act that characterizes the Armenian authorities' behavior and morale, the Armenian government is trying to intimidate members of the "Heritage" Party and more active representatives of society fighting against injustice and illegality in the country. It is also trying to distract them from the daily struggle for protection from those who choke the idea of a liberal mindset.
"Heritage" will continue to be in all places where there are citizens with violated rights, where there is a need to counter-attack the government's illegal acts and where laws are violated and the outlaw officials feel they are almighty.
"Heritage" strictly condemns the authorities' villainous act against the party and civil society. The immoral reasons and clients behind this phony criminal act are clear for the society. The application of such a method against political competitors is simply the continuation of the government's expression of fear. We warn that each assault will receive a counter-attack and we are certain that this will all be overcome through the organized and persistent efforts of citizens of Armenia."
