Won’t coalition memorandum tarnish BHK reputation?
The Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) is not a "project" initiated by the country's second President Robert Kocharyan, BHK Spokesman Khachik Galstyan told reporters on February 21.
Galstyan excludes the party's support to Robert Kocharyan if the latter returns to politics.
"Our words are in line with our actions," he stressed.
According to the BHK spokesman the party has not been forced to sign the coalition memorandum.
"By signing the document, the Prosperous Armenia Party headed by Gagik Tsarukyan, proved that it is a sober-minded political force," said Galstyan adding that the party's decision to join the memorandum did not smear the party's reputation.
On February 17, the Political Coalition - the Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and Rule of Law Party (OYK) - signed the Declaration of the Political Coalition by which they express support for incumbent President Serzh Sarsgyan during the 2013 presidential election.
