Azerbaijan violates truce 200 times in a week
About 200 instances of ceasefire violation at the line of contact between the Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces were reported between February 13 and 19.
Azerbaijan fired 1,000 shots at NKR positions in a week, using various caliber weapons, the Artsakh Defense Army reports.
In contrast to previous cases of ceasefire violation, on February 15 Azerbaijan used RPG-7 grenade launcher in the southern part of the line of contact.
The most recent attack occurred at 8:30 pm on February 17 in the north eastern section of the line when the NKR Defense Army prevented an Azerbaijani penetration into the territory of Jraberd settlement. Meeting a violent rebuff by the defense army's front troops, Azerbaijanis took to flight.
According to preliminary data, the Azerbaijani side suffered losses. The information was also confirmed by Azerbaijani sources.
No losses are reported by the NKR Defense Army.
