Since the capture of power in 2008 Armenia has been witnessing a political crisis, according to Armenian National Congress (HAK) representative David Shahnazaryan.

"The political palette has changed in the country. The recent events show that Robert Kocharyan is trying to destabilize the political situation with the help of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK)," said Shahnazaryan advising BHK to stay away from Kocharyan's plans.

"If BHK wants to regain public confidence and does not want to assume the role of a defendant, the party should stay aside," he said.

To a journalist's remark that Robert Kocahryan has always sponsored BHK, Shahnazaryan replied, "Kocahryan has never backed anyone but himself."

The HAK representative is convinced that the West supports Serzh Sargsyan though he does not exclude that "Moscow will back Robert Kocharyan given the fact that Armenians have aversion for Kocharyan and he may appear in the dock."

To get out of this complicated situation, David Shahnazaryan suggested conducting snap presidential and parliamentary elections that will result in "national concord."
