Yang Jiechi to visit Armenia
On February 16-17, Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China Yang Jiechi will pay an official visit to Armenia at the invitation of Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan.
During the visit, Yang Jiechi is scheduled to meet with RA President Serzh Sargsyan, His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan.
The Chinese Foreign Minister will also visit Tsitsernakaberd and will lay a wreath at the Armenian Genocide memorial.
This is the first visit of a Chinese foreign minister to Armenia since the country's independence. During the visit, the foreign minister will discuss issues related to further reinforcement and expansion of Yan Armenian-Chinese relations, as well as a broad range of regional and international issues.
