No letter from Gul
Serzh Sargsyan has not received any letter from Turkish President Abdullah Gul, as informed by the presidential residence.
President of Turkey Abdullah Gul sent a letter to his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan, calling on Armenia to vote for the Turkish candidate running for the post of OSCE Secretary General during the upcoming elections in March. It is assumed that OSCE Secretary General candidate Ersin Ercin will have the letter "reach" Armenia in March.
According to RA MFA press secretary Tigran Balayan, Armenia will not endorse the Turkish candidate running for OSCE Secretary General.
Other candidates running for the post are the former Austrian Foreign Minister, former Portuguese and Italian deputies and 35 countries are already participating in the pre-electoral campaign.
