The delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister-State Secretary of the Russian Federation Grigori Karasin met with MPs of the "Heritage" faction.

Participating in the meeting were head of the faction Styopa Safaryan, secretary Larisa Alaverdyan and MP Zaruhi Postanjyan.

According to a press release, the participants of the meeting discussed and expressed views on a number of issues in the field of cooperation and interests of both countries. Among them were the Russian-Armenian strategic ties, regional issues provoked by Azerbaijan, which are still referred to as "Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict" or the "Artsakh issue", as well as issues related to tension and militarization in the region and the need for cooperation between the parliamentary delegations of both countries within international organizations.

The sides also raised economic issues, particularly the efforts of the Armenian-Russian joint state enterprise's study of uranium mines without considering public opinion. It was also mentioned that Russia's policy on acquiring property is almost widespread, while the investment policy is still at an insufficient level.

In the end, Grigori Karasin mentioned that the meeting with the "Heritage" faction MPs showed that there is truly a need to expand cooperation between the RA National Assembly and the State Duma of the Russian Federation on strategic, as well as current issues related to other spheres.
