“Kocharyan-Sargsyan discrepancy will explode”
According to HAK coordinator Levon Zurabyan, the "Prosperous Armenia" Party's congress showed that there is no discrepancy between the HHK (Republican Party of Armenia) and the "Prosperous Armenia" Party.
"The PAP has no problems. What it is trying to present is the discrepancy between Serzh Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan. Seeing that the regime is in danger and that Serzh Sargsyan's administration is playing the role of a defender, Robert Kocharyan is apparently trying to fix the situation by taking over the presidency."
According to Levon Zurabyan, Serzh Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan are in a struggle for the presidency. "It is more of a struggle to see who will represent this oligarchic regime."
Levon Zurabyan doesn't know whether Robert Kocharyan will run for president in the next presidential elections, but he is sure that the most important step to reduce his chances is taking the PAP out of the game.
During its congress, the PAP didn't announce that it is endorsing Serzh Sargsyan in the next presidential elections and Levon Zurabyan views this as a tactful step. "This is just truce with a simple calculation. Since the social state has intensified and the opposition has started its struggle through rallies, they have decided to not further intensify the situation and have signed a temporary truce, but I am sure that the tension will continue and the discrepancy will explode."
