Edward Nalbandian was the first to visit Oman
On February 14, the newly appointed Ambassador of Oman to Armenia, Mouhammad bin Awad al-Hosan, presented the copies of his credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
Minister Nalbandian congratulated his guest on the new office and expressed hope that his appointment would contribute to the further deepening of bilateral ties. Nalbandian noted that he was the first high-ranking Armenian official to visit Oman as President's Special Envoy as early as 1993.
The Ambassador said he would do his best to promote cooperation between the two countries.
Edward Nalbandian emphasized the importance of expanding warm and friendly relations between Armenia and Arab countries. In that context, Edward Nalbandian noted that Armenia opened two Embassies in Arab countries in 2010.
The interlocutors touched upon the cooperation between the two countries within international organizations and exchanged views on issues of the Middle East.
